The weather dot com said 55deg as i left work today so i tore home and jumped on the road bike to hit the training crit course before the sun dropped out of the sky. I found a nice little spot that they are throwing houses up that makes a sweet .6 mile loop and did a few 15 min intervals. Im sure the guys building the house and the lady walking her dogs thought i was a crazy nut driving the intervals at around 22mph for 15 min on a .6 mile course.... what tha, there he goes again, and again, what the heck is this guy doing? tongue hanging out and breathing like a chain smoker going up 3 flights of stairs. After about 30 min the sun dropped and in my haste to get out the door i didn't put toe warmers on and damn near lost a few of them. Without that ball of heat in the sky it gets cold quick, and with all the moisture on the ground, it makes for a fringed spin.
A few months ago Trey H (aka skinny bastard that can climb like a goat) kicked out some info on a funny bike blog that i have been reading for the past few weeks, its entertaining to say the lest check it out @ http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/ the guy must have all day to look crap up on the internet. I like the showcase of freaks doing the single speed elephant stop (pictured above), what the hell is that? Check it out.
Another cool blog site is http://www.belgiumkneewarmers.com/, has some cool u tube vid's of the classic greats kick'n the crap out of each other... there is a ton of cool bike race After a few days of freeeeezing weather i jumped out on the old road bike to hit a local neighborhood "crit" vid's on utube...
Tomorrow is the Specs Race Teams Christmas Party, and should be a nice gathering of bike nerds and beer drinking fun...
